ESTEFANÍA PÉREZ, JOURNALIST

When I was doing the International Baccalaureate (IB), working the hardest I had ever worked before because I wanted to come to London to study, it never crossed my mind "This is too much, it isn't worth it." Yes, I had not slept in days and yes it was not easy, but I wouldn't want it any other day. Today, I'm a journalism student in City, University of London and a reporter for Sabat Magazine.
I firmly believe passion and hard work can take you anywhere, because this city is full of opportunities, but it's up to us to go out and get them. And what drives me? I was born a reader, I grew up a writer. I'm a journalist, and I believe in the power of words.

Who am I?

We spend our lives asking ourselves that same question, and after too many nights looking at the ceiling, I've found an answer I agree with: I'm a people's person. I enjoy talking and reading and writing. I have since I can remember. But I am also ambitious, dedicated and hard-working. On my CV site you'll see what I've accomplished so far - but I want you to know, this is only the beginning.

I published this book when I was 16 years old. It was a compillation of the short stories I had been writing since I was twelve. The year before I finished school, I sent it to a publisher and couldn't believe it when I was told they wanted to get it published.
